The Kar98k is Warzone’s most iconic long-range weapon, but is the classic rifle making its long-awaited return to the battle royale? Here’s everything you need to know.

Warzone players have plenty of memories of the beloved Kar98k dominating the game’s long ranges during the Verdansk and Caldera cycles.

With Rebirth Island returning in Warzone Season 3, many are wondering if the Kar98k is also making a comeback sometime soon, so here’s everything you need to know.

Will the Kar98k return to Warzone?

Yes, the Kar98k will return to Warzone in Season 4. This was confirmed by Call of Duty’s fourth season marketing campaign, where several players received a package containing a toy including key hints: a car, a scratch-off game revealing the letter K, a ‘Bolt into Action’ subtitle, and the number 98.

All these marketing hints together form the word Kar98k Bolt Action, replacing the C in ‘car’ with another K.

Previously, dataminers found references to the classic weapon following the Season 3 update and some players hoped that the fan-favorite gun would arrive coinciding with Rebirth Island’s comeback.

However, just one season later, players’ wishes are about to come true with the return of the iconic weapon to the game. Although it is classified as a Bolt Action, it remains uncertain whether MW3 and Warzone’s Kar98k will be added as a Sniper Rifle like in Vanguard or a Marksman Rifle like in MW 2019.
