Warzone players have plenty of memories of the beloved Kar98k dominating the game’s long ranges during the Verdansk and Caldera cycles.

Now that Rebirth Island has returned in Warzone Season 3, many fans are wondering if the Kar98k is also making a comeback sometime soon. Here’s everything you need to know.

Will the Kar98k return to Warzone?

The Kar98k could return to Warzone after dataminers found references to the classic weapon following the Season 3 update. Keep in mind that this is speculation and should be taken with a pinch of salt until it’s officially announced.

Prior to the Season 3 update, some players hoped that the fan-favorite gun would also be included as part of the content to coincide with Rebirth Island’s comeback. The speculation grew when the official Call of Duty social media accounts started replying to clips of the Kar98k on Rebirth.

However, it later became clear that this was promoting the return of the beloved island itself rather than the fan-favorite weapon. Instead, the MORS Sniper Rifle from Advanced Warfare was the familiar face added to the roster in Season 3.

While there are still plenty of updates to go in the MW3 era, rumors have hinted that Verdansk will be the battle royale map once CoD 2024 arrives later in the year, so this could also be the ideal time to throw some iconic weapons back into the mix.
