The competition among the best SMGs in Modern Warfare 3 is fierce, and the AMR9 is well off the top spot. But with the right attachments, players can take the underrated AMR9 to new heights and have it compete with the HRM-9 and WSP-9.

To kick off the best AMR9 loadout in MW3, the ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider and Bruen Heavy Support Grip make the SMG incredibly easy to control. These buffs to accuracy and recoil control are vital since the Demo D50 Buffer Tube drastically reduces gun kick control.

While the Demo D50 might hurt your recoil control, it brings massive boosts to ADS speed and sprint to fire speed, offsetting any negative attributes that the Stock introduces. The Phantom Grip further boosts the AMR9’s sprint to fire speed, covering its main weakness, which is well below average for an SMG.

The Infantry Vest will not only boost your Tac Sprint by decreasing its cooldown but also increase its duration. Then, the Ordnance Gloves will allow you to use Equipment and your Field Upgrade faster, and be able to throw them farther.

Next, both the Covert Sneakers and Ghost T/V Camo will help you keep a low profile on the map, silencing your footsteps and blocking detection from enemy UAVs and heartbeat sensors.

The Semtex will let you deal heavy damage to enemies stuck in a corner, and the Stun Grenade will allow you to swoop in for an easy kill after disorienting the enemy.

We’ve gone for my favorite Field Upgrade here as the Trophy System is perfect for players looking to play the objective, rack up wins, and increase their survivability. Combined with the Ordnance Gloves, the Trophy System has saved my life more times than I can count.
