What is Buy Back in Warzone?

Buy Back returns in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, an LTM that puts an exciting spin on regular battle royale.

The mode arrives with the mutation theme following a DNA bomb explosion at Popov Power on Urzikstan, but how does it work and when will it arrive? Here’s everything you need to know about the mode.

Mode explained

Buy Back allows squads of four to redeploy back into the map after being killed so long as they have $4,500. The period in which you can buy yourself back with cash is limited, and once it’s over, the match plays like a regular battle royale – without Gulag. In the mode’s Season 4 Reloaded version, Mutations are enabled.

The Buy Back period when the mode was last available in the game was 20 minutes, giving you plenty of time to take advantage of it.

The mode will be centered around Popov Power on Urzikstan and there are no Tacticals or Lethals in ground loot.

When will it be available?

There is no confirmation regarding when Mutation Buy Back will be available in Warzone. However, we expect it to become available with the next Playlist update on July 3, replacing Mutation Resurgence which is currently live.

All mutations

• Bioshield
  • Create a protective bubble that blocks incoming damage but allows you to shoot out from within.
• Divebomb
  • Rocket into the air, then dive towards a target. On impact, any nearby enemies are damaged and tossed back.
• Mutant Leap
  • Perform a charged jump that covers vast distances.
• Toxic Stim Cloud
  • Deploy a toxic stim cloud that does damage to enemies and boosts squadmates’ speed for a short duration.
• Sludge Sling
  • Toss sludge grenades that explode into a toxic gas cloud on impact. The gas slows and damages enemies over time.
• Mutant Cloak
  • Turn partially invisible for a short time. You will leave green footprints while cloaked.
• Mutant Vision
  • See enemies outlined in red through walls for a short duration.

Players have the chance to receive these mutations during the match, making for some hectic gameplay.
