Warzone 2 Season 3 will bring the UAV Towers from DMZ to the battle royale, but what are they, how do you activate them, and what do they actually do? Here are your answers.

Warzone 2 Season 3 is on the horizon, and the devs are now providing the community with information regarding the new content and changes coming like Plunder’s return, one-shot Snipers, and the new weapons.

DMZ is also getting an update, but what’s really interesting is that a feature from DMZ is actually being implemented into the battle royale.

UAV Towers have been in DMZ since launch, but the Season 3 update will bring them to Al Mazrah, so for those unaware of what they are, here’s our guide to them.

UAV Towers have arrived in Warzone 2 Season 3.

Warzone 2 UAV Towers explained

Warzone 2 UAV Towers are small satellite structures on the map that can be interacted with to reveal the position of enemies on the map.

The UAV Tower also reveals AI, which show up as hollow red diamonds while real players are solid red diamonds, so keep that in mind for when you activate one.

According to the Season 3 blog, these UAV Towers are marked on the map with a red satellite icon, so players can easily find them.

How to activate UAV Towers in Warzone 2

By simply walking up to a UAV Tower and interacting with the laptop at the bottom of it, players will activate “several sweeps” of a UAV that reveals enemies in the tower’s local area. Be warned, however, as once you activate a UAV Tower, enemy Operators do receive an audio notification when one has been activated.

It’s important to note that it does not reveal every enemy on the map, as it only covers the general area of where the UAV Tower is. The size of the area it reveals is around the size of a medium POI.
