Warzone devs respond as DMZ players can’t unlock weapons

Warzone 2 Season 5 has arrived with an issue that stops players from unlocking new weapons through DMZ. Here’s what Treyarch devs answered about the Warzone 2 Season 5 bug.

Warzone 2 Season 5 has arrived, and avid CoD players have been reporting non-stop a ton of issues that have come with it. One of the main concerns has been about a new DMZ bug that has stopped users from unlocking weapons.

The DMZ is a crucial place where players can stake different items while looking for better equipment to take into future missions, which includes new weapons introduced in each season. Players usually find new armor from other teammates or NPCs, and then exfil them to have them unlocked without the need of using the battle pass.

But when Warzone 2 Season 5 rolled out, many players described that they were unable to unlock new weapons with this system and haven’t been able to get the new FR Avancer assault rifle or the Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle.

This Season 5 bug has players looking for official updates, and some of them even think that this issue might be a way to push users into buying the Battle Pass in order to unlock new weapons.

“Investigating reports” aka convincing the boss that forcing people to buy spend money and battle passes/bundles to get guns was a bad idea.

Meanwhile, the CoD dev team has stated that they’re investigating the reports and trying to fix the issue, so every player can get access to DMZ and its equipment.

“Again, fix it. It’s not just weapons, it’s weapons slots, and was happening Monday night!,” an exasperated Twitter user that goes by Matt_Tulk commented. Along with his opinion, other players chimed in and reported issues with mysterious shadowbans, poor performance of the Vondel map on PC, and problems with bugged Camos.

CoD devs haven’t made any further statements about Warzone Season 5 reported issues. We’ll keep you posted with new information regarding DMZ bugs as soon as it releases.
