Warzone 2 players flock to new Shotgun loadout after brutal MX Guardian nerf

Warzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has shared his meta close-range loadouts after the July 24 update, claiming that the new MX Guardian Shotgun has been overtaken after receiving nerfs.

Following the Warzone 2 July 24 update, various popular weapons received nerfs, shifting the meta for not only the long-ranged guns but also close-ranged weaponry.

With nerfs to the X13 Auto, Snakebite Basilisk, and even the FTAC Siege, many are wondering what the new go-to close-range weapons are. The Season 4 Reloaded update saw the introduction of the new MX Guardian Shotgun, which dominated close-ranged battles and outshined the KV Broadside at the start of the update.

However, things have now changed since the July 24 update, as the MX Guardian received some hefty nerfs, leaving the KV Broadside at the top of the Shotgun pile, according to Warzone content creator WhosImmortal, who also shared their meta loadout for the weapon.

Barrel: Range Twelve
Ammunition: 12 Guage Dragon’s Breath
Magazine: 25 Shell Drum
Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
Stock: VLK Stockless

First off, WhosImmortal opts for Range Twelve barrel for this Warzone 2 KV Broadside loadout, as it provides an increase to damage range, hip fire accuracy, and bullet velocity, which are all great for battle royale.

Next up we have the 12 Guage Dragon’s Breath ammunition, which WhosImmortal calls “toxic” due to how strong it is. This ammunition adds fire to your bullets, doing damage even after you hit the enemy.

The 25 Shell Drum means that you can spam shots without having to worry about reloading, allowing you to knock and finish multiple enemies before having to reload.

Lastly, to help mobility and increase your quickness with the weapon in close-quarters combat, together the True-Tac Grip and VLK Stockless attachments will improve your sprint to fire, aim down sight, and movement speeds.

WhosImmortal recommends pairing this weapon with a long-range rifle or LMG, claiming that this Warzone 2 KV Broadside loadout has you “covered if you’re pushing buildings, late game when that circle is closing in, it’s tough to beat.”
