Warzone 2 expert JGOD reveals new long-range meta after “huge” damage buffs

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded introduced a variety of buffs and nerfs for weapons, and so JGOD has showcased the impact of these changes, revealing an Assault Rifle that has the ISO Hemlock beat at long range.

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded not only brought players two new Handguns, which have subsequently been nerfed due to their power, but the update also brought a variety of balance changes to shake up the meta.

Despite getting a nerf, the ISO Hemlock has remained the most popular weapon in the game, as players continue to use it for its long-range capabilities in Warzone 2.

That said, popular Warzone 2 content creator and stats expert JGOD broke down the “huge damage buff” for the long-range meta, which saw some Assault Rifles gain “Minimum Armor Damage.” This buff essentially increases a weapon’s “viability at longer ranges,” and so JGOD investigated the impact these buffs had on the meta.

The ISO Hemlock is the most popular long-range Assault Rifle in Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded, but it was nerfed in the update, and some of its competitors were buffed. Along with other buffs, the Lachmann-556 gained the minimum armor damage, increasing its performance at range.

When compared to the ISO Hemlock, JGOD demonstrated how the Lachmann-556 has “faster TTKs” than the most popular AR. The Lachmann-556 has a TTK of 913ms at 70 meters and beyond, which is much better than the ISO Hemlock’s TTK of 1000ms at the same range.

JGOD asks, “why aren’t people using the Lachmann-556, which clearly has a fast TTK, has incredibly low recoil, a 60 round mag, and has a faster fire rate so it’s a little more forgiving.”

After testing in-game, JGOD said, “overall, the Lachmann-556 performed very well,” and is now “definitely worth considering” when it comes to the long-range meta in Season 3 Reloaded, because of the “lower recoil…bigger mag,” and the “damage per mag is increased,” so you can “down more players.”
