The Lachmann-556 caught a major nerf during Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded, but CoD guru WhosImmortal has revealed the “easy to use” rifle that looks set to replace it ahead of Season 5.

The Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded update came with plenty of balancing changes to switch up the weapon meta, with popular choices like the ISO 45 and Kastov 762 all catching nerfs. Then, the devs doubled down with the July 24 update, which brought even more changes to a number of top-tier weapons.

One of the weapons that was hit hardest was the Lachmann-556, which had become the go-to Assault Rifle for many players. With nerfs to its damage in virtually all scenarios, fans were left wondering which AR to run in its place.

Luckily, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the slept-on rife that he believes will take the Lachmann-556’s crown.

In his July 27 video, the YouTuber explained that the Kastov 545 is a “great replacement” that he would recommend running in Season 4 Reloaded, mainly because it’s just as straightforward to use as the Lachmann-556.

He explained that despite the Kastov 545’s 0.4% pick rate on WZ Ranked, it’s a “super low recoil” rifle that can “fry” opponents in the right hands. While he warned that the damage may not be as high as other Assault Rifles, the ability to land shots consistently thanks to its easy recoil pattern makes it a top-tier option.

WhosImmortal also shared his recommended loadout for the Kastov 545 in Warzone 2 Season 4 Relaoded, check it out below.

WhosImmortal’s best Kastov 545 loadout in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded

  • Barrel: IG-K30 406mm
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 5.45 High Velocity
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

WhosImmortal kicked off his best Kastov 545 Warzone 2 loadout with the IG-K30 406mm barrel and Harbinger D20 muzzle, both of which buff the damage range and bullet velocity, to make the Assault Rifle a menace at long range.

He also went for the 60 Round Mags to ensure players can take on full squads before having to reload, loaded with 5.45 High Velocity ammo so that each shot hits its intended target.

Finally, he went for the Aim OP-V4 optic to offer extra magnification without clogging up the whole screen. However, this can be swapped for whichever sight you prefer.

With this setup, WhosImmortal believes that the Kastov 545 has what it takes to become a real contender in Warzone 2. If you were left without a surefire Assualt Rifle after the Lachmann-556 nerf, consider giving it a spin in your next match.
