Slept-on Warzone 2 SMG rivals ISO 45 with TTK that “fries” at close range

The ISO 45 has been the go-to close-range gun in Warzone 2 Season 4, but CoD guru WhosImmortal has revealed the underrated SMG that has “one of the best TTKs” in the game and could become a real challenger.

Warzone 2 Season 4 shook up the meta in several exciting ways, delivering plenty of balancing changes and a long-awaited health increase. It also through a handful of new weapons into the mix, including the ISO 45 SMG which immediately became the game’s most popular gun.

Its blistering time-to-kill made it the go-to Sniper support in Season 4 and has been dominating lobbies ever since it arrive. However, Warzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has revealed the mostly forgotten SMG that could have what it takes to rival the ISO 45.

In his July 5 video, the YouTuber claimed that the MX9 is a top-tier SMG in Season 4, despite its pick rate of just 0.2% according to WZ Ranked.

“The MX9 has one of the best TTKs out of the entire SMG category right now, and it’s also very easy to use and it’s very mobile, very aggressive,” he explained. “If the MX9 had a 45-round mag or 50-round mag, it could arguably be the best SMG in the game.”

He went on to reveal his best MX9 loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4, check it out below:

Barrel: 16.5″ Bruen S901
Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
Magazine: 32 Round Mag
Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip
Comb: FTAC C11 Riser

WhosImmortal began his best MX9 loadout in Warzone 2 with the 16.5″ Bruen S901, offering additional damage range and bullet velocity to make the SMG more reliable at mid-range. Then he opted for the Cronen Mini Pro, as this was more accurate than the standard iron sights.

The YouTuber described the extra ammo added by the 32 Round Mag as a “no-brainer,” especially following the health increase. Finally, he paired the Bruen Q900 Grip with the FTAC C11 Riser to drastically improve the ADS speed, allowing players to land those crucial early shots.

That being said, WhosImmortal did caveat his loadout by saying that the MX9’s small magazine size means it mostly thrives in Solos. He explained that only the most skilled players would find it viable in Duos, Trios, or Quads.

However, the YouTuber still felt the MX9 has what it takes to rival the ISO 45 in Solos matches and urged players to give it a spin: “If you hit your shots though, it fries.”
