The new ISO Hemlock is already making a name for itself in Warzone 2 after arriving in the Season 2 update, and CoD guru JGOD has unveiled a deadly loadout for Assault Rifle that he claims is “hitscan.”

Warzone 2 Season 2 is in full swing, and players have wasted no time getting used to the new Ashika Island Resurgence map and the many gameplay changes it introduced.

The update also came with a host of new weapons for players to experiment with, including the ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle. This powerful AR has instantly become a meta weapon in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and was even banned from MW2 Ranked Play.

If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, JGOD has revealed an ISO Hemlock loadout for fans to try out that transforms the rifle into a “hitscan” weapon.

In his February 23 video, JGOD explained that the key to this setup is the .300 Blackout rounds, which are supposed to buff the Hemlock’s damage at the expense of bullet velocity.

However, a bug with the .300 Blackout rounds means the bullet velocity actually matches that of the High Velocity ammo option, allowing players to hit their target immediately after pulling the trigger.

“Blackout rounds will have that instantaneous bullet registration, and it’s particularly useful when people are moving super fast in the sky,” said the YouTuber. “On the ground it’s not as a big of an issue, you’ve just got to get used to not leading your shots like you would with almost every other gun.”

  • Barrel: Fielder-T50
  • Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: .300 Blackout

While this is the ideal setup for bullet velocity to unlock the ISO Hemlock’s hitscan potential, JGOD did warn players that the .300 Blackout rounds also come with some hidden recoil penalties.

He found that this type of ammo actually has around 50% more horizontal recoil and 20% more verticle recoil than the High Velocity rounds. With this in mind, the expert felt that running 5.56 High Velocity rounds was the more viable choice as it will be far easier to use during a fight.

However, if players want to give the true hitscan build a try, JGOD did say that you could swap out either the barrel or muzzle attachment for a rear grip or underbarrel to help curb some of that recoil.
