Modern Warfare 3’s Throwing Star Lethal weapon is perfect for quickly finishing off downed enemies and provides an alternative to the classic Throwing Knife. So, here’s how to unlock the Throwing Star in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

With Modern Warfare 3 finally here, fans of the Call of Duty title have plenty of fun new content to unlock and enjoy, including brand-new weapons like the KVD Enforcer, Bruen Mk9, WSP Stinger, WSP-9, and more.

However, the latest Call of Duty title also comes with several Modern Warfare 2 weapons and equipment, including the Throwing Star, a Lethal suited to stealthy playstyles, and a great alternative throwable weapon to the Throwing Knife.

So, here’s how to unlock Throwing Stars in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

How to unlock Throwing Stars in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone

You can unlock Throwing Stars by getting 50 Throwing Knife kills in Modern Warfare 3. In order to achieve this, you’ll first need to reach level 30, which is where Throwing Knives are unlocked. After that, all you need to hit the kill goal mentioned above and you’ll unlock the cool-looking Throwing Star lethal.

Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer is probably the easiest place to rack up Throwing Knife kills thanks to the more close-quarters maps and the fact they’re a guaranteed one-hit kill. However, they can still be pretty tricky in Modern Warfare 3’s fast-paced gameplay, so we recommend heading over to a playlist like Rust 24/7 or 10v10 to get this done quickly.

How to unlock Throwing Stars in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2

To unlock the Throwing Star in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, you also need to get 50 kills with the Throwing Knife.

While many players have bought and are playing Modern Warfare 3, those still enjoying Modern Warfare 2 can enjoy the Throwing Star as well. Trying to unlock the Lethal in Warzone can be quite difficult and time-consuming, so we recommend playing the multiplayer modes of MW2 or MW3 to progress with it.

While Throwing Knives are a popular Lethal in both games, Throwing Stars are “faster, with a longer range and a higher stock” than their counterparts. In addition, we advise Modern Warfare 3 players to use Throwing Stars with the Assault Gloves, which makes them go faster, giving you an advantage in many close-range fights or even trick-shot attempts.

In Modern Warfare 3, many players are referring to Throwing Stars as broken, as what the Lethal does is that it gives you a hitmarker as soon as you hit an enemy on the head, and any Star thrown after instantly kills them regardless of the body part being hit.

That’s everything you need to know about Throwing Knives in Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone.
