All Warzone 2 Season 2 Gulag changes
The Warzone 2 Season 2 update is bringing some exciting changes to the game, including tweaks to the Gulag. Here is every change coming to the Gulag in Season 2.
Warzone 2 Season 2 is on the horizon, bringing a variety of changes and new content for players to enjoy. As well as a brand-new Battle Pass, including new weapons, the update will also bring a variety of balance changes and fixes to the game.
One of the most significant changes being made to the battle royale in Season 2 is for its second chance saloon, the Gulag. The Gulag is one of Warzone’s most unique mechanics, and when the devs decided to make drastic changes to the feature in WZ2, the community wasn’t too fond of them.
Luckily, for those who enjoyed the original Warzone Gulag, some huge changes are being made to bring it back to its roots.
Warzone 2 Season 2 Gulag changes
The biggest change being made to the Gulag for Warzone 2 Season 2 is the removal of 2v2 Gulags for the classic 1v1. This means that after the Season 2 update, players will be going into the Gulag solo, having to fight one other player to redeploy.
The devs announced in the blog that the “original Warzone overtime mechanic” will also replace the Jailer, giving players a chance to capture a flag to win the game once the time runs out.
In addition to this change in player count, the Gulag’s map layout will also receive some changes to better suit 1v1 fights, and the devs are also working on a “dedicated 1v1 map for future seasons.”
The Gulag will also start to feature more loadouts with SMGs, ARs, and LMGs, as they have decided to remove Shotguns from the pool.
On top of all of this, the Gulag will have Cash deposits around the arena and also grant a larger Cash reward for the winner, so that players redeploying into the game have a better chance to reset.
The community has been calling for this change for some time now, so players will love to see their voices being heard and the devs finally bringing back 1v1 Gulags.
