Warzone 2 Season 2 will introduce major changes to the Gulag and the devs confirmed that the update will see the 1v1 format make a long-awaited return.

The Warzone 2 Season 2 update has been delayed by two weeks and the devs announced that they would be using the time to implement various changes to the game. Their plan is to make changes based on what they hear from the community.

Since the game’s launch, the Warzone 2 community has failed to come to terms with the 2 vs 2 Gulag format. They’ve been calling for the 1v1 Gulag battle to make a return and it seems like the Season 2 update will answer those calls.

Infinity Ward and Raven confirmed that “1v1’s are back in Battle Royale.” This Gulag change is sure to delight players and it looks like there’s more where that came from.

After announcing the Warzone 2 Season 2 delay, the devs confirmed that a deep-dive studio blog revealing changes to the Gulag, looting, and loadouts would be revealed next week.

The announcement confirming the return of 1 vs 1 Gulag fights in Warzone 2 Season 2 is just the beginning. Players will be eager to discover what’s in store the looting system and loadouts in Warzone 2.

As the devs explain, we could expect “more details” to arrive in an in depth blog during the week of January 23.

While many Warzone 2 players will view this as an initial step in the right direction, the blog should reveal much more information about the new direction of the battle royale.
