Larian Studios built a wild world filled with adventures, but Baldur’s Gate 3 fans admit to hating some of the fights they need to go through to stop the Mind Flayers’ invasion.

Baldur’s Gate 3 map is filled with enemies ready to challenge players. While some battles can be avoided by selecting the right dialogue option, some opponents won’t let players go without a fight.

Fans rallied in the Baldur’s Gate 3 Reddit community and shared which were their least favorite battles that can definitely do without.

During Act 1, players will discover a secret underground tunnel that’s essential for unlocking the haunted book “The Necromancy of Thay.” Despite giving a powerful skill, not all players are happy with the enemies they have to face to get it.”THE F*CKING PHASE SPIDERS. If it wasn’t for that dark amethyst, I would never do it again,’ described the OP ‘ShroomieDoomiedoo.’

Some players blame poor optimization and the AI’s logic behind some of the most insufferable combats. In the fight with the Gondians, several Redditors agreed that they quickly turn “absolutely maddening” and that it’s almost impossible to go through the battle unscathed.

Others thought that the fight against Cazador, Astarion’s sire, was quite confusing during their first run. “It took me a few turns to realize I could actually get Astarion free. I was focusing on what I thought was some kind of puzzle with the blood stream,” admitted user ‘Howlasinthecastle.’

However, there’s one fight that got the most hate from the Baldur’s Gate 3 community: the battle against the Death Shepherds. During Act 2, these appear near the Githyanki Creche, and don’t give a chance to low-level players.

“Every time I have to go through there, I can’t kill the Shepherds fast enough. That one Ghast keeps my hard hitters nauseous, otherwise the battle would be easy. I rage every time,” explained user ‘silvermandrake.’

And that’s some of the battles most Baldur’s Gate 3 players absolutely hate. If you want to know more about Larian Studios’ RPG, you can check which is the best dialogue option according in Faerun according to players, and why fans think you should actually save this ‘evil’ character.
