Baldur’s Gate 3 players are outraged by a user that ended the game in 60 hours, and debate whether they really got to live the game’s “full experience”.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will face players with a ton of “impossible” choices, including some where users will need to decide on using skills that could be very helpful at the moment but have a major impact on the final outcome.

This is especially true for Gale’s Netherese Orb, a unique ability that lets you sacrifice the wizard and completely demolish everything that surrounds him. While some think that using this option is a great way of beating The Netherbrain in an Honor run, others have been tempted to use it for easier bosses.

In a Reddit post called “A friend ‘played through the whole game’ in under 60 hours,” fans quickly rallied to explain why using “Gale’s chest bomb” isn’t the best, especially if you’re facing Act 2 bosses.

The OP explained that their friend just skipped most side quests, ignored most major fights, and decided to finish off Ketheric Thorm by letting Gale blow himself up. As it was expected, their friend found the game “mid” and felt tricked by the experience.

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans were outraged by the story and insisted that using the Netherese bomb was one of the worst endings players could get. “It’s really confusing because the Narrator specifically tells you when you do that in Act 2 that it’s a bad ending, and not the end you were supposed to get. I did it once…for science,” commented a user.

Others felt that even if Baldur’s Gate 3 discourages players from using the bomb, any user that has chosen that path had a valid run, even if it ended in Act 2. They argued that from the game’s multiple endings, it’s completely fair to think that the adventure ends after Thorm’s fight, despite it meaning that the Absolute’s forces had conquered Faerun.

And that’s everything on why players warn against using Gale’s Netherese bomb in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you want to know more about the game, check why players feel that the “Jack-of-all-Trades” trophy isn’t worth it, and how to get Alfira’s hidden special rewards.
