Octane’s Launch Pad received yet another nerf in Apex Legends’ Season 10 Evolution Collection Event, but a method has been found to ensure his Olympus rotation trick is still viable.

One of the main reasons that Apex Legends players still cannot get enough of Octane is his ever-useful Jump Pad. Introduced in Season 1 of Apex Legends, fans of Respawn Entertainment’s shooter have stuck by him ever since.

It’s evident that Octane has stood the test of time as he is consistently the most-picked Legend in Apex, despite the addition of so many others. A big factor in the decision-making process is his Launch Pad, and despite multiple nerfs, it remains an ever-present menace.

One trick that Octane users love is the Olympus rotation trick, which appeared to be in danger thanks to the most recent nerf, however, this is not the case.

Reddit user WhosButWhyTho has dispelled the myth that Octane can no longer throw down his Launch Pad and rotate from Olympus’ Gardens underneath the map to the Underpass.

The Evolution Collection Event update made the following changes to Octane:

  • Reduced jump pad horizontal distance by 10% – 15%
  • Reduced the rate of Octane’s Stim regen from 1.5 to 1.0 hp/sec

The reduced jump distance achievable by the pad looked like it had endangered the rotation trick, but in a post called “Unsure if already posted, but gardens pad rotation still works with a slight modification,” the user showed why this isn’t the case.

It doesn’t require anything too special from the player to achieve, it simply just needs the pad to be carefully placed on the gold wall next to the water.

If done correctly, then the user should be able to clear the railing and complete the double jump as usual.
