Pokemon Go players reveal simple tips to easily beat “best” Team Rocket Leader
NianticBeating Team Go Rocket Leaders in Pokemon Go is easier said than done, and one particular Leader is currently the most sought-after thanks to their rare and powerful Shadow Pokemon. But a few players have shared some quick tips to beat him without much effort.
One of the toughest yet most rewarding tasks for Pokemon Go fans is to defeat the Team Go Rocket Leaders. Beating these NPCs (non-playable characters) allows trainers to catch the elusive Shadow Pokemon that give a competitive edge in PvP and PvE battles.
With each Team Go Rocket rotation, the Leaders get a different lead Shadow Pokemon with the possibility of being shiny after the battle that players can catch, and this time, the Leader Cliff is the most desired because of his Shadow Dratini.
That said, a large number of Pokemon Go players seem to be “struggling” in the bout with Cliff. Now, several fans have come to the rescue with their helpful tips on winning the battle against Cliff.
After a Reddit user named ‘xochilbara’ shared a post about being unable to beat Cliff, writing: “He’s the only one I can’t beat. I believe this game is taunting me,” several trainers chimed in with their comments, offering team suggestions and battle strategies to beat the challenging Rocket Leader.
A detailed tip from a Pokemon Go player read: “I bring 2 strong fairies and my best fighter each time. He’s the only leader worth fighting really. Togekiss, Gardevoir (Mega if you can) and Shadow Machamp is what I use.”
Another added: “I use maxed out Conkeldurr for the first two and half of the first, then a maxed out Dragonite. I’ve never needed to use a third – I just have it as whatever Buddy I am currently using.”
Most comments emphasized using Fairy Pokemon as they can hit both Dratini and Tyranitar, Cliff’s compulsory team members, super effectively. Fighting Pokemon are a great addition as they can deal with a Steelix in the middle as well as Tyranitar.
One user highlighted an excellent combination that could work extremely well in the battle: “Sand Tomb Garchomp lead to burn 1 shield switch to Lucario Power-Up Punch and Shadow Ball Done.”
While suggestions on using specific Pokemon were aplenty, another fan gave a useful generic tip. “I try to take Pokemon that can spam charged attacks. The Rocket dude always has a delay everytime you swap Pokémon or do a charged attack. Take advantage! You can do it!!!!!!,” the user explained.
It looks like the comments from fellow trainers helped the OP as they stated: “Thanks to everyone’s help I was able to beat him! Both of him!!! This sub is awesome thank you so much.”
