Wyrdeer is a Normal/Psychic-type species in Pokemon Go, and many players are wondering about its PvE/PvP performance. So, here’s all you need to know about Wyrdeer in Pokemon Go, including how to get it and finer details.

Pokemon Go has closed the year with the Timeless Travels season and a new Hisuian Pokemon debuting in the mobile game: Wyrdeer, the Big Horn Pokemon. Trainers are now able to catch this species for the first time, so buckle up.

Wyrdeer debuted on Pokemon Legends Arceus as one of the regional forms from Hisui. So far, Stantler, its previous form, had no evolution whatsoever, so this is a big deal for many fans of the Reindeer Pokemon.

Here’s all you need to know to get Wyrdeer in Pokemon Go, with details on its performance in PvP/PvE, evolution, shiny availability, and more.

How to get Wyrdeer in Pokemon Go

Wyrdeer debuted in Pokemon Go during the Winter Wonderland Event, so trainers had a chance to catch it in 3-Star Raids during this event. Currently, there is no way to get Wyrdeer in Pokemon Go, but we will keep this guide updated in case Niantic enables its Evolution.

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Stantler evolves into Wyrdeer, but as with all Hisuian evolutions, like Braviary and Kleavor, Pokemon Go doesn’t allow trainers to evolve them from their previous forms, so the only way to obtain them is through featured Raids.

Is shiny Wyrdeer available in Pokemon Go?

Yes, shiny Wyrdeer is available in Pokemon Go. In this particular case, this Hisuian form debuted with its shiny variant since it’s a special occasion.

So trainers that encounter one after beating it in 3-Star Raids, can consider themselves lucky, as this will mean that they have a secured catch since shiny Raid Pokemon have a 100% capture rate.

The odds of finding a shiny Wyrdeer during featured Raids are also boosted and are approximately 1 in 60 or 1.67% chance.

Is Wyrdeer good in Pokemon Go PvP?

Yes, Wyrdeer should be a good option in Pokemon Go PvP since it has some overall decent stats. Its Psychic/Normal-type makes it vulnerable only to Bug and Dark-type moves.

More so, it boasts an impressive 233 Stamina, which is a lot for Pokemon Go standards, it is in the top 100 of Stamina pools (that control max HP in the game). It also has a decent 206 Attack stat, but a poor Defense stat of 145, so it’s a tradeoff.

It is especially good in Great League and Ultra League but falls short in Master League.

Best Wyrdeer Pokemon Go PvP Moveset

The best moveset for Wyrdeer in Pokemon Go PvP is Zen Headbutt as a Fast Move, and Wild Charge as a Charged Move.

Wyrdeer is quite a good attacker in Pokemon PvP but also has a low defense stat, which makes it some sort of “Glass Cannon” type. Zen Headbutt allows Wyrdeer to pile up enough energy and Wild Charge is a surprise move since most would expect a Megahorn or Psychic as a Charged Move.

Stomp also works as a decent Shield Breaker but deals less damage than Wild Charge, so it has no other purposes. Wild Charge also deals increased damage to annoying Water-types such as Vaporeon or meta Flying-types such as Pelipper.

Is Wyrdeer good in Pokemon Go PvE?

Wyrdeer Pokemon Go
Wyrdeer is the evolution of Stantler, only available in the Hisuian Region.

Wyrdeer is a decent option in Pokemon Go PvE. It reaches a max CP of 3089, so it might be a good option for Middle-rank Raids.

Plus being only vulnerable to Bug and Dark-type moves makes it one of the most versatile options available in the Pokemon Go roster. So keep that in mind in case you happen to find a decent Wyrdeer in 3-Star Raids.

Best Wyrdeer Pokemon Go PvE Moveset

The best Wyrdeer Moveset for Pokemon Go PvE consists of Tackle as Fast Move and Psychic as Charged Move. With a whopping 381,70 TDO (Total Damage Output), it’s the best option you can have for this species.

Megahorn is a good alternative as a Charged Move but takes far more energy to charge, and you are looking to get a good charge time/damage ratio to break away those enormous HP pools in raids, so Megahorn should be only used as situational with this Pokemon.
