Pokemon Go players are thrilled to be getting the chance to catch the Galar Legendary Pokemon Regieleki from Raid Battles. Regieleki is one of the two latest Regi Titans to be introduced in Pokemon Go. However, these two were previously limited to Elite Raid Battles in the game. Players want to add Regieleki to their PokeDex and are eager to use it in PvP and PvE battles.

So here’s everything you need to know about catching Pokemon Go Regieleki, its performance in PvP and PvE, and if shiny Regieleki is available in Pokemon Go.

How to get Regieleki in Pokemon Go

You can get Regieleki in Pokemon Go by defeating it in a Raid Battle. After you beat the Raid Boss, Regieleki will appear as an encounter for you to catch.

Regieleki will be in Legendary Raid Battles from July 13, 10 AM local time to July 25, 2023, 8 PM local time.

Pokemon Go Regieleki type and weaknesses

Regieleki is the fastest Pokemon.

Regieleki is an Electric-type Pokemon. It is only weak to Ground-type moves. Due to them only having a single weakness and great offensive coverage, Electric-type Pokemon are known to be good defenders as well as attackers.

Best counters for Pokemon Go Regieleki

The best overall Pokemon Go Regieleki counter is Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earth Power.

Garchomp’s Dragon/Ground-type helps it triple-resist Electric-type attacks.

While Garchomp is an excellent Pokemon Go Regieleki counter, there are several other Ground-type Pokemon that do a great job against Regieleki.

Here are the best Pokemon Go Regieleki counters:

  • Garchomp: This Pseudo Legendary Pokemon is great at taking less damage from Electric-type attacks and dealing high damage in return. Due to its Community Day, most Pokemon Go players have access to an Earth Power Garchomp.
  • Primal Groudon: With an amazing Attack stat and the signature move Precipice Blades, Primal Groudon is a superb Regieleki counter.
  • Mega Swampert: This Mega-evolved Pokemon can boost damage from Ground-type attacks during the Raid Battle.
  • Mamoswine: Mamoswine with Mud-Slap and High Horsepower is a reliable Pokemon to deal with Regieleki.
  • Excadrill: Excadrill is an underrated Pokemon but it can do a lot of damage to the Raid Boss due to Drill Run.

Other good Regieleki counters in Pokemon Go are Rhyperior, Rhydon, Flygon, and Mega Steelix.

Is shiny Regieleki available in Pokemon Go?

No, shiny Regieleki is not available yet in Pokemon Go. Since Regieleki is a Pokemon from the Galar region (Gen 8), it is expected to take some time before shiny Regieleki will be available in Pokemon Go.

Is Regieleki good in Pokemon Go PvP?

No, Regieleki is not good in Pokemon Go PvP.

While Lock-On gives it excellent energy gains, it is limited with expensive Charged Moves like Thunder and Zap Cannon that give it zero coverage. Regieleki may do some damage to Pokemon like Gyarados and Ho-Oh, but that happens only when shields are down. When facing opponents like Garchomp or Groudon, it does little to no damage at all.

Is Regieleki good in Pokemon Go PvE?

Yes, Regieleki is good in Pokemon Go PvE. But there are better Electric types that do much better in Raids and Gyms.

With a high Attack stat of 250, Regieleki can deal impressive damage in PvE. Thunder Shock pairs well with Zap Cannon to dish out STAB damage to Pokemon that are weak to Electric-type attacks. We recommend dodging during battles as Regieleki’s bulk is low.
