Overwatch 2 comes with a wide range of features and upgrades over the original game, but does it offer split-screen? Here’s everything to know about whether you can play the game locally in couch co-op.

A lot of online multiplayer games now come with a split-screen feature that allows you to play locally. Blizzard is no stranger to adding this feature as Diablo 4 has couch co-op which naturally makes the community curious about their massively popular multiplayer title, Overwatch 2, having it too.

On that note, here’s everything we know about split-screen and couch co-op in Overwatch 2 Season 10.

Does Overwatch 2 have split-screen multiplayer?

Overwatch 2 does not have split-screen multiplayer as of Season 10 which means that if you want to play locally, you’d need two devices and separate Battle.net accounts that can party up online.

There has been no official word from Blizzard on why this is the case and with rival shooters such as Modern Warfare 3 allowing players to play via split-screen in some modes, it does pose some questions.

Overwatch 2 features plenty of PvE content that could become a lot more enjoyable if couch co-op is added. So, we’d say it would be impossible to rule out split-screen eventually coming to Overwatch 2 if the demand was enough.

Having said that, the developers are clearly focusing on other aspects of the multiplayer title at the moment such as releasing new Heroes and maps via seasons and reworking the existing map pool to enhance the quality of gameplay.
