How to unlock the Crossbow in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 brings the new Crossbow to try out in battle royale and multiplayer. Here’s how to unlock the Crossbow in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 were the biggest updates for both games to date. Players received the return of 1v1 Gulags, Combat Records in BR, and even a brand-new Resurgence map.
Season 2 Reloaded has brought even more content, including the Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle. This is the second new Marksman Rifle to be added in Season 2, the other being the Crossbow – a new member of the Marksman Rifle family with a high damage output that’s perfect for stealthy gameplay.
Here’s how to unlock the Crossbow in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
How to unlock the Crossbow in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2
Now that the Season 2 Reloaded update has gone live as of March 15, the Crossbow can be unlocked by getting 50 longshot kills with Marksman Rifles in either multiplayer or Warzone.
Previously, the Crossbow was unlocked by completing the Path of the Ronin challenges, but these have now been removed. Players can also obtain it by purchasing a Store Bundle in either game.
The Crossbow is ideal for players who want to silently take out enemies. While slightly more unconventional compared to some of the other new weapons in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, it does come with plenty of advantages that make it well worth unlocking.
Check out the official description of the Crossbow: “Silent and agile, this high-performance crossbow fires 20.0” bolts with exceptional lethality. Exclusive customization, distinct functionality, and unique ammunition types put this weapon in a class of its own. Standard 20.0” bolts are recoverable, and are undetected by trophy systems.”
So, if you prefer a stealthier style of play, make sure to unlock the Crossbow by completing the unlock challenges as soon as possible in either Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded.
