Incarnate Form Thundurus in Pokemon Go

A new event is kicking off in Pokemon Go and Incarnate Form Thundurus is headlining 5-Star Raids, so here’s how to beat and catch it.

After two weeks of Ho-Oh, Pokemon Go players will be able to defeat and catch Thundurus in new 5-Star Raids. During the new Let’s Go event, the Unova Legendary Pokemon will headline Raids in its Incarnate Form.

We’ll detail all of Thundurus’ weaknesses as well as the best counters for the 5-Star Raid.

How to get Thundurus in Pokemon Go

The only way to get Thundurus in Pokemon Go is by defeating it in its 5-Star Raid and catching it afterward.

Players had the chance to do this when Thundurus first arrived in Pokemon Go in 2021. Some Legendary Pokemon return to the game after a while with easier challenges or special events, but this is the only way to get Thundurus at the moment.

The Thundurus 5-Star Raids are taking place from March 21 to March 28 and players have a chance to encounter a shiny Thundurus, so be on the lookout.

Thundurus will headline 5-Star Pokemon Go Raids from March 21 to March 28, 2023.

All Thundurus weaknesses & best counters in Pokemon Go

Thundurus is a dual Flying and Electric-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak against Rock and Ice-type moves. It can resist Ground, Fighting, Flying, Bug, Steel, and Grass-type moves, so try to avoid those for a more efficient Raid.

It’s recommended to face this 5-Star Raid with at least three or four high leveled trainers, but it can also be attainable with a group of 7 to 10 lower-level Pokemon Go players.

Thundurus will probably rely on Electric-type attacks that deal the most damage thanks to the STAB. But keep in mind that it can also know the Fighting-type Charged Move Brick Break, which is super-effective against both Rock and Ice-type Pokemon.

With that said, some of the best counters for this Raid include Aerodactyl, Glalie, Abomasnow, Rampardos, Galarian Darmanitan, Rhyperior, Tyrantrum, Mamoswine, Terrakion, Aggron, Kyogre, Gigalith, Weavile, and Tyranitar.
