Gold Skull is a rare item that players need to locate on the map for the Dealmaker mission in DMZ, which was introduced in Warzone 2 Season 3. Here’s how you can obtain a Gold Skull in Warzone 2 DMZ Season 5.

Warzone 2 Season 5 not only added new modes for Resurgence players and fresh weapons but also made plenty of changes to DMZ which features a host of missions that asks players to deliver certain items to get rewards.

One of the items is the Gold Skull, a rare and shiny trophy that can be used for various purposes and has a value of more than $8,000. But how can you get your hands on one of these? Here’s how to get a Gold Skull in Warzone 2 DMZ Season 5.

Where to find Gold Skulls in DMZ

There is no guaranteed location to find a Gold Skull in Warzone 2 DMZ, instead, players will have to hope to find one when searching for loot. Unlike other key items in DMZ, there is no way to craft a Gold Skull either, so there’s plenty of luck involved.

That being said, there are a number of places and methods with significantly better odds of finding a Gold Skull, check them out below:

Vondel Keys

The Vondel map and a set of keys were introduced in Season 4 and some of the places that are unlocked by Vondel’s keys often have Gold Skulls. Each key unlocks a place, a stash, or a sack that contains valuable loot and the next key. Usually, they are not easy to get, and players may need to finish a certain task, loot one or open the previous stash in the sequence.

The following keys unlock places that always gave us a Gold Skull when we unlocked them:

  • Bridge Stash (Map Grid E5)
  • Vondel Zoo Animal Care Room (Map Grid D7)

Defeat bosses

Killing bosses is tough, but it’s a great way to earn Gold Skulls in DMZ.

DMZ’s many bosses such as The Scavenger, Bombmaker, and Pyro may drop Gold Skull as they have higher chances of dropping rare loots than regular enemies. Simply track one down, whittle down their huge health bar, and keep your fingers crossed.

While this is arguably the best chance of earning a Gold Skull, it’s also one of the toughest, as these powerful enemies can quickly take out your squad if you’re not prepared.

Sawah Hotel

Rooms 302 and 303 are full of loot.

If you’d rather not chance your arm against a boss, the Sawah Hotel also has great odds of containing a Gold Skull. Rooms 302 and 303 on the top floor are full of loot caches, however, you will need a Skeleton Key to enter, so be sure to craft one beforehand.

Again, there’s no guarantee that a Gold Skull will spawn among all the items in either room, but if luck isn’t on your side there’s always the option to exfil and try again in a different match.

Police Stations

Police Stations also have better odds of Gold Skulls spawning.

One of the other locations in Al Mazrah likely to hold a Gold Skull are the Police Stations, and there are different spots to check around the map. Check out where to find them below:

  • Southeast of Al Sa’id Shopping Centre.
  • Northwest section of Al Mazrah City.
  • On the east side of the Mawizeh Marshlands.

It’s worth keeping in mind the Police Stations are Strongholds in Warzone 2 DMZ, so you’ll be met with plenty of resistance from AI enemies. However, once clear, they’re an ideal spot to hunt down Gold Skulls.

Supply Drops and Safes

Supply Drops and Safes are another way to get Gold Skulls in DMZ. The minimap will show you where they are and they usually have amazing loot. You can find piles of money, rare vests, or Gold Skulls in them.

However, they’re often guarded by AI so don’t go there without weapons or carelessly. There’s also the chance of other players going for a Supply Drop for the loot inside, so be cautious.

That was everything you need to know about how to find Gold Skulls in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode. We’ll be sure to update this page with any new locations that could help you complete the Dealmaker faction mission.
