A remaster of the first three Tomb Raider games is coming on Valentine’s Day, with new gameplay and Trophies to boot. Here is everything you need to know about Tomb Raider Remastered, including its release date, trophy lists, and gameplay changes.

The Tomb Raider Remastered for the first trilogy is nearing its launch date on February 14, 2024. While players can expect some major updates to gameplay, some reports did confirm some disappointing news about trophies for PS5.

There’s a lot to look forward to, however, including a massive overhaul to gameplay and the addition of over 200 Trophies for players to earn. Here is everything we know about the upcoming Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered release date

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection will be released on February 14, 2024.

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection was announced during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct. The release date has also been confirmed since then, set to release this Valentine’s Day.

All Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered gameplay updates

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection is coming with a slew of new features, including enhanced gameplay, a more modern look, and more control options.

Aspyr, developers of the collection, shared a few features that players can expect in the coming launch. While they are staying true to the original story and mechanics, they are implementing more modern controls and art to Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered.

In terms of gameplay, the collection will come with modern and classic control options, boss health bars, 3D item sprite replacements, and a photo mode. The devs also said that players can expect a few “new surprises,” but did not go much into what that would mean.

The art update will include real-time lighting effects, new models, modernized environments, and a graphics toggle to switch between the modern and classic presentations.

Aspyr essentially said that their goal is to update the game for modern players while staying true to the original feel of the game. Lara Croft will keep her iconic design, and players will have the option to play with the original look or a more modernized and polished version.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered platforms

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will be available to play on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

While it was originally assumed that Nintendo Switch would be a shoo-in as a platform, Aspyr has confirmed that the collection will be available on all modern gaming platforms.

More than that, fans will also have access to the previously PC-exclusive expansions Unfinished Business, The Gold Mask, and The Lost Artifact.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trophy list

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection has over 200 Trophies, but unfortunately for PS5 players, there will be no Platinum Trophy on the platform.

To the disappointment of fans, Insider Gaming confirmed that there will be no Platinum Trophy for PS5 players.

According to a statement from Aspyr, though, it will be available for PS4 players. “The PlayStation 4 version of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered features a platinum trophy, while the PS5 version does not. Players will receive both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered with their purchase. This collection includes over 200 trophies covering game completions, easter eggs, and new challenges.”

That doesn’t mean that Trophy-hunters won’t have a true challenge ahead of them. The collection includes hundreds of Trophies to achieve:
