2K Games are set to start 2024 by releasing WWE 2K24, the new wrestling franchise title. Following the announcement of the new TopSpin 2K25, the studio has revealed all WWE 2K24 details. The yearly wrestling game is set to return, bringing a huge roster featuring WWE’s biggest Superstars.
First released in the year 2000 under the name WWF SmackDown!, and being part of 2K Games since 2013, the wrestling franchise game has been released annually for 23 years. The new WWE 2K24 would be the tenth edition developed by 2K Games, raising fans’ expectations.

WWE 2K24 release date & early access
WWE 2K24 will be released on March 8, however, players can participate in early access a few days earlier and enjoy all the features of WWE 2K24 from March 5. To do so, players will need to purchase the Deluxe or the 40 Years of WrestleMania editions of the game.

WWE 2K24 cover stars
Cody Rhodes has been confirmed as the cover star of WWE 2K24 Standard Edition. The American Nightmare featured heavily in the game’s reveal trailer but he isn’t the only cover star as Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair star on the cover of WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition.
WWE 2K24 also has a third cover for the Forty Years of Wrestlemania Edition featuring Hall of Famers like Andre the Giant, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, and more.
WWE 2K24 platforms
2K Games have confirmed that WWE 2K24 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch players are left out of this new edition with the hope of a change of direction for the 2025 release.
WWE 2K24 game modes revealed
WWE 2K24 will feature returning game modes including MyFaction, MyRise, MyGM, Universe Mode, and a new edition of 2K Showcase of Immortals centered around 40 years of Wrestlemania.
Additionally, 2K Games announced a lot of new match types and new features regarding the aforementioned game modes.
