Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones is an action-packed pirate adventure that mainly focuses on warfare. Since it’s packing great graphics, you might be wondering whether your hardware can run it smoothly or not. So here are the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Skull and Bones.

Set in the 17th century, Skull and Bones lets you fulfill your dreams of becoming a pirate but unlike Sea of Thieves or Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft’s new title is more about naval warfare than on-foot exploration.

You can not only complete contracts but also build new ships while growing your crew. But all this comes at the cost of increased usage of both CPU and GPU. This begs the question, can your PC run it?

So here are the PC specs for Skull and Bones on high, medium, and 4K presets.

Skull and Bones minimum PC requirements

Here are the minimum PC specs required to run Skull and Bones, with the targeted performance of 1080p at 30 FPS on low preset:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit version)
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz, Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.6 GHz, or better
  • RAM: 8 GB (running dual-channel mode)
  • Video card: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (8 GB), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB), or better
  • Hard drive: 65 GB available storage (SSD required)
  • DirectX version: DirectX 12

These requirements were shared by Ubisoft in their blog post detailing all the PC features of the game.

  • RAM: 16 GB (running dual-channel mode)
  • Video card: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (8 GB), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB), or better
  • Hard drive: 65 GB available storage (SSD required)
  • DirectX version: DirectX 12

And, here is another requirement if you want the same preset but on 1440p resolution:

Skull and Bones ultra 4K PC requirements

Following are the PC requirements for Skull and Bones, if you want to play the game of 4K at 60 FPS on Ultra preset:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit version) or Windows 11
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Intel Core i5-11600K, or better

It is worth noting that for the 4K setting, the preset for DLSS and FSR are on “Balanced” mode. The PC requirements aren’t too demanding, certainly less than the other Ubisoft’s current-gen-only title, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
