A farm in Rusty's Retirement

Rusty’s Retirement lets you delve into the world of a true farming sim while you’re busy with something else, and Focus Mode makes it even easier to concentrate on real life while the game runs in the background. Here is everything you need to know about focused mode and how to enable it.

Rusty’s Retirement is a farming sim meant to run in the background while you go about your day. Whether at work and you need a small break, doing your life admin or just not able to focus on a bigger game, it lets you dive in without much investment.

If you’re the kind of person who needs something to do in the background to relax, then this game might be for you. And, in that case, you should know everything you can about Focus Mode.

What is Focus Mode in Rusty’s Retirement?

Focus Mode is a setting in Rusty’s Retirement that lets you double your production time

Things move quite quickly in Rusty’s Retirement. Crops come up in a few seconds or minutes, and while some stay in the ground for longer than others, your seeds need to get replanted at some point. You also need to build any shops and bots you want as you make more money and biofuel.

As a result, the game can take some of your attention away from what you’re doing without Focus Mode. Enabling this mode just means that you can let Rusty do his thing without worrying about keeping tabs as often.

How to enable Focus Mode in Rusty’s Retirement

You can enable Focus Mode in Rusty’s Retirement by going to the settings tab

When you first start the game, you have the option to choose if it will appear at the bottom or side of your screen. Depending on your choice here, your menu will be either on the right-hand side or bottom of the game bar.

Here’s how to enable Focus Mode:

  1. Navigate to the menu on the bottom or side of your screen.
  2. Go to the settings tab, which is indicated by a gear.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of this menu and click the box next to Focus Mode

When you’ve done this, you’ll be able to turn away from the game for more time before it needs your attention again. If you want to turn it off, simply click the box again.
