Due to its low system requirements, Content Warning is a perfect co-op horror game to run on the Steam Deck, but can Valve’s portable console handle it, and what are the best settings to run it at?

Content Warning is Landfall Games quirky take on survival co-op games, where players need to become the next sensation on SpookTube while risking their lives capturing footage of horrific monsters.

Thanks to its low-spec system requirements, Content Warning should be ideal for Steam Deck, Valve’s portable console, so here’s whether this indie game can run smoothly on it.

Can you play Content Warning on Steam Deck?

Content Warning hasn’t officially gone through Valve’s verification process, although players have confirmed it runs at 60FPS on the Steam Deck.

However, Landfall Games‘ co-op title hasn’t got optimized controls for the portable console, which requires users to control the menu with the right trackpad. Additionally, Content Warning requires a steady WiFi connection since it’s an online game, which might not be suitable for users who prefer playing on the go.

Keep in mind that Content Warning just requires 4GB of space for it to be installed, so if you’re up to play it with a stable connection, it could be an ideal experience to try on your Steam Deck.

Since Content Warning has not been verified on Steam Deck yet, there is a chance you may run into some issues. However, these settings could help keep them at bay while we wait for it to get verified.
