Rise of the Ronin has many weapons and armor to choose from, and you have quite a bit of control over their damage and survivability stats. Here is how to upgrade, transfer skills, and disassemble equipment.

Rise of the Ronin is not lacking in equipment you can use. This is good, of course, because protecting yourself during a raging war is essential to your success. You can also upgrade your equipment, making you a force to be reckoned with.

It can get overwhelming, though, to sift through all the loot you get in-game. As a result, the devs have also added a disassembling feature. So, here is how you can upgrade your equipment, disassemble it, and transfer any skills you want to something new.

How to upgrade equipment in Rise of the Ronin

Rise of the Ronin players can upgrade their equipment by visiting a Blacksmith.

Equipment can be upgraded for better performance.

Blacksmiths can be found in towns across the map. The first one you come across will be in the game’s central hub, Yokohama, and this will also be your first opportunity to try your hand at upgrading equipment.

Before you head over to a Blacksmith, however, make sure you have all the materials you need. Rise of the Ronin only lets you upgrade equipment if you have items like Iron Ore, Black Sand Steel, Cotton-Linen Thread, Silk, and Bamboo to part with.

How to disassemble equipment in Rise of the Ronin

Players can disassemble equipment in Rise of the Ronin by visiting the Blacksmith and selecting the option from the drop-down menu.

In the same place where you upgrade your equipment, you will find the ability to disassemble it. Head to any Blacksmith, and when you have the menu open, select the Disassemble option.

You will receive upgrade materials from disassembling items, which are useful when you want to upgrade them. Be careful, though, as once an item is disassembled, the item and its skills are lost forever.

How to transfer equipment skills in Rise of the Ronin

Rise of the Ronin players can transfer skills between equipment by using a Bond Jewel.

You can transfer equipment skills when visiting a Blacksmith.

Bond Jewels are found around the world in chests and as rewards for completing quests. When you have found one, you need to once again head over to the Blacksmith and select the Bond Transfer option in the menu.

Once you are in the right menu, you will be able to choose which weapon you want to transfer skills to. Make sure it has an open slot before you do, though, otherwise you won’t be able to transfer your desired skills.

As with disassembling equipment, you need to be careful with what you choose to initiate the Bond Transfer. Once you have completed the transfer, that equipment will be lost forever as well.
