EA Sports announced a brand-new direction for its storied franchise after parting ways with FIFA. The anticipation surrounding EA Sports FC 24 has grown quickly, and there is finally a release date to mark on the calendar.

As usual, the devs are giving players the chance to try out the new games through the closed beta. However, not everyone is lucky enough to secure a code.

The EA FC 24 closed begins on August 10, 2023, from 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST and runs until August 31. Thanks to the official EA Sports FC forum, we know that the EA FC 24 beta code distribution began on August 9, 2023, with another batch being sent out on August 21.

A community manager on the forum had this to say about the distribution: “Make sure to check your mail inbox connected to your EA Account, to see if you have been selected for the Beta. The distribution will be running for a while, so make sure to check your inbox regularly.”

How to get EA FC 24 closed beta codes

EA FC 24 closed beta codes will be sent out in emails to players who are eligible to play the early build. The closed beta will only be released for a select number of people who meet the following requirements:

  • Signed up for Community Playtesting on the EA website.
  • Are at least 18 years old.
  • Use a PlayStation or Xbox console from the UK or North America.
  • Have an active PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription.
  • Have an internet connection.
  • Accepted the User and FC 24 Beta Agreement.
  • Played FIFA 23 regularly.

Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee that you will receive an EA FC 24 beta code, even if you meet the criteria above. Codes are sent out randomly among eligible players, so be sure to check your inbox and spam folders to see if you’ve been selected.

There is also no way to guarantee which modes you will be granted access to, instead each code will come with a random selection from Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs, Kick-Off, Online Seasons, and more.

EA FC 24 closed beta: How to sign up for EA playtesting

The community will be able to meet most of the aforementioned requirements, however, not everyone knows how to sign up for EA playtesting, which is essential to join the select group for the EA FC 24 closed beta.

Follow these easy steps to sign up for EA playtesting

  1. Go to the EA website and login into your account.
  2. Head over Email Preferences.
  3. Make sure FIFA titles are selected in the preferred game section.
  4. Then select the ‘Electronic Arts Playtesting’ tab.
  5. Click ‘Join EA playtesting.’
