Diablo 4 will officially release in a few days and luckily, players can download the game early and be fully prepared ahead of the launch. From its platforms and size to date and time, here’s everything you need to know about preloading Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 finally arrives on June 6, 2023, bringing back fan-favorite classes in a brand-new campaign. Players can get their hands on early access by purchasing the Ultimate Edition, but if you can’t wait to take on Ashava and Lilith, you might be wondering about pre-loading the game.

Here’s everything we know about Diablo 4’s preload, including the date, expected file size, and platforms.

Can you pre-load Diablo 4?

Yes, you can now pre-download Diablo 4 ahead of its full launch on June 5, 2023, for American players and June 6 for the rest of the world.

When is Diablo 4’s preload?

Players can preload Diablo 4 now, as it went live on May 30 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM BST as confirmed by Blizzard.

How to preload Diablo 4

Follow these steps to preload Diablo 4 on your platform of choice:

PC

  1. Visit the Battle.net website to install the launcher if you don’t have it downloaded already.
  2. Run Battle.net.
  3. Pre-purchase Diablo 4.
  4. Go to Games > All Games.
  5. Click on Diablo 4 and open its menu page.
  6. Go to Game Version and select Diablo IV.
  7. Initiate the download.

Xbox

  1. Launch the Xbox store and pre-purchase Diablo 4.
  2. Select Download to Console.

PlayStation

  1. Go to the PlayStation Store and pre-order Diablo 4.
  2. Head to the Library section and find Diablo 4.
  3. Select ‘Preload’ to start downloading Diablo 4 ahead of its launch.

Diablo 4 arrives on PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and preload is available for all of these platforms.

What is the Diablo 4 preload file size?

While the complete file size for Diablo 4’s preload isn’t confirmed at the time of writing, the PC requirements confirm you’ll need at least 90 GB to download the game.

While this will likely change platform-to-platform, expect quite a large preload around the 90 GB mark.
