Diablo 4 players slam “unbearable” Uber Malphas boss fight

In Diablo 4, Uber Malphas is one of the endgame bosses that you can defeat for loot. However, players have been complaining that the rewards aren’t up to the mark.

In Diablo 4, you will face a total of five endgame bosses, barring Uber Lilith. These five endgame bosses have their own loot table and are completely farmable.

The developers added a new boss to the Seasonal Realm in the form of Malphas. Once you’ve defeated the boss for the first time in the seasonal storyline, you will be able to face a stronger version of him in higher world tiers.

However, players feel that the Uber Malphas boss fight in Diablo 4 is rather dull because of little to no Unique loot drops. ‘Mycatsmokesavocado’ took to Reddit to share their opinion about the boss fight and stated that the Uber Malphas boss fight in Diablo 4 is “unbearable.”

Other players shared their opinion about the boss fights in general with some of them saying that the Duriel, Lord of Maggots boss fight in Diablo 4 was equally bad.

One player said, “I think I’d rather Duriel had free entry but Ubers have a 0.02% drop rate if it meant I didn’t have to grind Helltides and Whisper favors over and over again for the 690000th time tbh.”

For context, you need two different materials to summon Duriel, namely Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony by defeating Varshan and Grigoire, two other endgame bosses. However, the Lord of Maggots is the only boss in Diablo 4 who can drop Uber Uniques.

A group of players also believe that the developers make the design to ensure that players stay engaged in the activity for a longer duration. Redditor ‘icmcshane’ said, “That is because they need people to be online- it is good for the stats. Same as Call of Duty. Not trying to make a fun game, just a game that looks good for shareholders.”

Players have had quite a few issues with the Season of the Construct, and this seems to be one of them. While some of them have been addressed, it will be interesting to see when Blizzard chooses to address these complaints regarding Uber Malphas.
