Diablo 4 fans are amazed by the changes Season of Blood has introduced to Dungeons, which were once considered too grindy and lacking content.

Diablo 4 Season 2 changed lots of the original gameplay mechanics thanks to Patch 1.2.0. From a different Inventory System to a huge list of class balance changes, players specifically praised the adjustments made to Dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons.

While these locations were heavily criticized during Season 1 for feeling empty and repetitive, Season of Blood has changed the layout of Dungeons and gave them a much-needed visual update.

“We’ve received feedback that some Dungeons lacked visual diversity and required quite a bit of backtracking to complete, making them feel cumbersome. We believe our adjustments to Dungeons in these areas will remedy player frustration, but will continue to listen to community feedback and make additional changes as needed,” said Blizzard.

Diablo 4 Season 2 has even introduced some visual changes in Patch 1.2.0.

Fans have been putting their favorite Diablo 4 builds to the test, and are seemingly feeling quite positive about the Season 2 update. “[The developers removed] a lot of backtracking and have significantly reduced dungeon time. The codex is way easier to fill up,” pointed out Reddit user nervous4us.

Other players noticed that layouts have indeed been “massively improved” and the density of the enemies found inside has also been balanced. However, fans also agree that they would like these changes to extend to the rest of the map.

“I noticed in some of the non-NMD [Nightmare Dungeons] they have also made some layout changes,  however the majority of non-NMD Dungeons in rotation still need some work. Overall, much more enjoyable NMD as they are tied into uber bosses now too,” noted Redditor Makz242.

Diablo 4 Season of Blood officially rolled out on October 17, 2023, and despite a server outage that made Blizzard delay the release, it has been generally better received than Season 1.
