Bosses in Diablo 4 are grouping up against players inside Vaults. This new interaction has come up as a new challenge to many players.

The Diablo 4 Season 3 Vaults are a brand new seasonal activity that Blizzard recently introduced. Similar to Dungeons, these Vaults have a Nightmare variant as well, which is only accessible in World Tier 3 and above.

To add to the challenge, there’s a new enemy known as the Son of Malphas, who spawns randomly within these Vaults, quite similar to The Butcher. It’s worth noting that both these bosses are heavy hitters, and can be quite deadly a pair when they spawn together.

As posted by ‘GaunerHarakiri’ on Reddit, the player was exploring a Nightmare Vault on World Tier 4 when they encountered both The Butcher and Son of Malphas simultaneously in Diablo 4.

As seen in the clip above, both these enemies are quite beefy, but the player also shows some skill when it comes to disposing of them one by one. Many players have chimed in on the post and have expressed their delight knowing that they’ll be able to experience similar fights in their Nightmare Vault runs in Diablo 4 as well.

Player ‘psylisa’ commented, “Looks like an awesome fight. More of this, please!” On the other hand, player ‘cbulkley01’ said, “Yeah, not a fan of the Butcher showing up and straight up murdering me.”

What’s more interesting is that if The Butcher and Son of Malphas in Diablo 4 can spawn together in a Nightmare Vault Tier 10, then they can spawn in higher tiers as well. This was the concern that player ‘N24_scoRpion’ expressed. They said, “This happened to me too and the first thought I had is if this can happen in a Nightmare Vault level 10 then it can happen later in higher tier vaults, can’t wait for that!”

As seen in the post, despite expressing their concerns about the Vaults in Diablo 4 and the overall seasonal content, players seem to be enjoying the difficulty this season. It will be interesting to see if Blizzard introduces more content or a change to the Vaults in Diablo 4 Season 3.
