Diablo 4 Season 1 announcements have been underwhelming for some of the fans of the Diablo franchise. While the community continues to argue if the dynamic with Malignant Hearts is enough to last an entire season, most players seem to agree that Blizzard fell short with its newest gameplay trailer.

While players are waiting to see how Diablo 4 Season 1 plays out, the community of avid Blizzard fans has been expressing its disappointment with the story presented by Season of the Malignant. The release of the Diablo 4 Season of the Malignant gameplay trailer has only multiplied these opinions and left fans arguing whether or not only one new World Boss can sustain a whole season.

Blizzard devs confirmed that the Season of the Malignant will add a new dynamic to get unique items, a different type of dungeon, and the mysterious Varshan the Consumed as a major boss. “The very first season of the game adds… killing a rare monster,” a Reddit user named Goddy2Putts wrote, summing up what fans have been expressing.

Players aren’t convinced that the new World Boss from Season 1 is challenging enough.

It’s not the first time that players slam Diablo 4, with only a couple of weeks since its release, users have already discovered overpowered builds that are relentless in any World Tier and have also been able to dominate the three World Bosses.

“Is the new S1 boss battle actually going to be a boss battle, or is it going to be just like any other dungeon or world boss?,” asked user RedditAccount 90000. Other members of the community speculated that the Season of the Malignant new gameplay trailer has shown this new enemy as a dungeon elite, although Blizzard have already confirmed that it will spawn as a World Boss.
