How to open Silent Chests in Diablo 4: Whispering Key locations

When you hop into Diablo 4, you’ll be able to open Silent Chests after unlocking them with Whispering Keys. If you’re wondering where the Whispering Keys and Silent Chests can be found then we’ve got the answer.

Diablo fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Diablo 4 on June 6, 2023, so that they can start to build their favorite classes as they progress through the game’s brand-new campaign, and purchasing the Ultimate Edition grants you early access.

The new Diablo title features plenty of new additions for players to check out, including Whispering Keys and Silent Chests. Finding these will grant you rewards, and we’ll break down where you need to search in Diablo 4.

Where to find Whispering Keys in Diablo 4

Whispering Keys can be purchased from the Purveyor of Curiosities that can be found in the back streets of different towns and hub areas in Diablo 4. Buying a Whispering Key will cost you 20 Murmuring Obols.

You can get Murmuring Obols by completing quests and different events throughout Diablo 4, such as purifying Cursed Chests and Shrines that you find in dungeons. You can’t find Whispering Keys in the wild so this is the only way to obtain them.

Where to find Silent Chests in Diablo 4

The bad news is that Silent Chests cannot be found at any one location as they are randomly spread out across Sanctuary. Not only are they not located in a single place but their placement changes after each session of Diablo 4.

For this reason, we recommend quickly completing quests and events so that you can purchase a Whispering Key right away. This way, you won’t lose the opportunity to open up a Silent Chest if you come across one during your session.
