Gaia skin MW3

While the Season 1 update is only a few days away, MW3’s devs delivered an update on November 30 that disables the controversial Gaia “Groot” skin and fixes the snaking 2.0 exploit. Check out the full patch notes below.

Modern Warfare 3 set record-breaking engagement numbers for an MW CoD title, and despite the positive reception from players, there are still some issues that the devs are looking to resolve. The highly anticipated Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 update is arriving on December 6, yet the devs took the opportunity to roll out an update on November 30.

The November 30 Modern Warfare 3 update has addressed one of the most controversial elements of the game’s brief existence. Since launch, players have been frustrated with the barely visible quality of the Gaia skin, otherwise known as the “Groot” skin, and the devs have removed it from MW3 to work on a proper solution.

The update also fixed a snaking exploit that allowed players to appear prone while sprinting and the EOD Padding Perk will now work as intended.

MW3 players no longer need to worry about the infamous Groot skin wreaking havoc in multiplayer lobbies as the devs have disabled the skin with the November 30 update. They plan to work on a fix for the skin that improves the visibility of the Operator.

There’s no telling how long the Gaia skin will be unavailable to equip, but we’ll be sure to let you know when the updated version of the notorious skin is back in action.
