Modern Warfare 3 brings plenty of new features to CoD multiplayer, including Tac-Stance. However, after trying it out, MW3 expert TheXclusiveAce doesn’t think the feature will be adopted by the community.

The Call of Duty community is gearing up for the release of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, which is set to shake up the multiplayer in a number of ways. Although fans can expect a host of classic maps at launch, there are also plenty of innovations that have never been seen before.

After-Market Parts give players a new way to customize their favorite guns, but it’s the Tac-Stance that has caught the eyes of many. This new addition aims to bridge the gap between hipfire and aiming to change how players approach each fight.

However, after trying out the feature at CoD Next, Modern Warafre 3 expert TheExclusiveAce doesn’t think that Tac-Stance will catch on.

In his October 6 video, the YouTuber explained that his thoughts on Tac-Stance are “not necessarily negative” but not overly positive. He ultimately felt that “Tac-Stance is just going to be a gimmick,” especially if you plan to play MW3 on a controller.

The main reason for this is the button that Tac-Stance is mapped to by default in Modern Warfare, which TheXclusiveAce felt makes it difficult to use in the heat of battle.

“By default, this is mapped to the down arrow which is just a very awkward location, especially if you’re trying to use it and swap between Tac-Stance and aiming down sight,” the YouTuber explained. “It’s not really viable on a controller, and I don’t know what I would map it to to really make it viable.”

While Tac-Stance is designed to give players a more accurate option than hipfiring that’s faster than aiming, TheXclusiveAce didn’t think that ignoring the feature altogether would harm the experience in Modern Warfare 3: “I honestly don’t feel like I’m missing out by not using Tac-Stance in this game.”

We’ll have to wait for Modern Warfare 3 to hit shelves on November 10 to see Tac-Stance in action, but so far it seems that it might not be a vital part of multiplayer matches. In the meantime, check out when Ranked Play is coming to the game and details on the new Zombies mode.
