In an October 12 X post, the Call of Duty team confirmed that the Ricochet anti-cheat system is in place when it comes to MW3.

Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 features a new and improved version of Ricochet anti-cheat when the game launched. This was revealed in a blog post prior to the game’s official reveal and again in the above post.
In the post, the devs said fans can expect: “New additions to Ricochet Anti-Cheat as well as new anti-toxicity plans to continue to deliver a fun, fair, and welcoming online experience for all players.”
What is Ricochet anti-cheat Splat in MW3?
Splat is one of Ricochet anti-cheat’s new measures to detect and mitigate cheaters in Modern Warfare 3.
The MW3 devs describe Splat as a feature that “will increase the player’s falling velocity, causing even small jumps to become devastating falls.” The devs promised new countermeasures in Modern Warfare 3, and it didn’t take long for them to deliver.
