Warzone 2 pro’s lightning-fast Sniper loadout brings back classic Kar98k meta
ActivisionPopular Call of Duty content creator and ex-Warzone pro JoeWo is claiming that fast-paced sniping is back in Warzone 2, as he’s found a Sniper build that reminds him of the legendary Kar98k.
Sniping in Warzone 2 started off very shaky when the game originally launched, but after the devs decided to bring back one-shot Snipers, the weapon category made a promising return.
The MCPR-300 and Signal 50 became popular choices for the battle royale, but some were still disappointed with the performance of the more fast-paced Snipers like the SP-X 80.
However, in Season 4 players noticed a change with the SP-X 80, as with the right build, players were able to get one-shot headshots from some decent range. Now, ex-Warzone pro JoeWo has revealed his SP-X 80 loadout, which he claims is the reincarnation of the Kar98k, so here’s the full build.
JoeWo’s Kar98k Warzone 2 SP-X 80 loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90
- Ammunition: .300 Incendiary
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
- Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
- Optic: Forge Tac Delta
First off, JoeWo goes for the Nilsound 90 muzzle in order to improve the SP-X 80’s bullet velocity and damage range, allowing you to get that one-shot headshot from further out.
Next, the .300 Incendiary ammunition is easily the most important attachment in this loadout, as it allows the SP-X 80 to one-shot enemies with a headshot.
To increase the Sniper’s speed and make it similar to the Kar98k, the FSS ST87 Bolt will reduce the time it takes to rechamber, and the Schlager Match Grip improves the weapon’s sprint to fire and aim down sight speed.
Lastly, JoeWo chooses the Forge TAC Delta optic as it provides a nice 5.5x zoom for quickscoping enemies in Warzone 2.
JoeWo says this gun reminds him of “the OG days when we were dropping in Rebirth, dropping in Fortune’s Keep using quick, fast-paced Snipers,” so if that sounds appealing, make sure you try this loadout out.
