Warzone 2 players were pleased to see Solos return to the battle royale following the latest playlist update, but its arrival came at a cost, as the devs looked to balance the scales.

After Warzone 2 players had been calling for the Solos playlist to return to the battle royale for some time, they finally got their wish on April 19. Players were pleased to finally see Solos return and further add to their list of options.

However, it wasn’t all good news as fans couldn’t help but notice that the Duos playlist was nowhere to be seen. While the devs added Solos back to Warzone 2, they decided to remove Duos as a result.

It’s safe to say that players were baffled by the news after weeks of crying out for all playlist options to be available in Warzone 2 Season 3. On one hand, many were happy to see Solos return to Warzone 2, but they were furious with the decision to remove Duos.

Solos playlist returns to Warzone 2

As the news of Solos returning to Warzone 2 broke, players took to the Warzone subreddit to express their excitement. That excitement quickly turned to disbelief when they realized that Duos is now absent, “Wait, what? I’m glad Solos is back, but where is Duos?” said one player.

Another player questioned the motive behind the strange decision: “I really wonder what they’re trying to achieve. Force us to play modes we are not interested in? Every time they pull this, me and my brother just end up playing something else until duos return.”

Amidst the sea of memes poking fun at the decision, players searched for answers in the comments.

One player theorized that the Warzone 2 player count is to blame for the withholding of certain modes: “My guess is that the player count is too low to reasonably matchmake all 8 core modes within a reasonable amount of time while having the limited time modes as well.”

There’s no telling if this is actually the case, but it didn’t stop players from offering solutions like “chill the SBMM.” With fewer restrictions, players claim that matchmaking would be an easier process.

Despite the mixed feelings, Warzone 2 players who prefer Solos will get to enjoy the return of the playlist.
