CoD legend Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag has revealed his Warzone 2 wishlist following reports that the player count dropped substantially over the holidays.

Warzone 2 enjoyed a successful launch at the end of 2022, with millions of players dropping in to try out the Al Mazrah map and all of the new features introduced in the sequel.

However, despite the additions that came with the Warzone 2 Season 1 and Season 1 Reloaded updates, a host of gameplay issues have led to frustration within the community, from the looting system to the lack of any kind of Ranked mode.

Now, following reports that Warzone 2’s player count dipped more than expected over the holiday break, streamer and former CoD pro Nadeshot has revealed the changes he thinks will get the game back on track.

In response to CharlieIntel on Twitter, Nadeshot outlined seven key improvements that he wanted to see in future updates, addressing key issues that many other players have raised since launch.

Check out Nadeshot’s full Warzone 2 wishlist below:

  • “Add the ability to plate while sprinting.
  • Add ranked play and comprehensive stats.
  • Significantly reduce headshot multiplier.
  • Add reload canceling.
  • Increase universal movement speed by 10%.
  • Rework the looting system entirely.”

These issues will be more than familiar to those who have been playing Warzone 2 regularly since launch. Looting has been a constant source of anger among players after Warzone 2 did away with the previous format in favor of the new Backpack system.

Meanwhile, those who liked to sprint around the map and outmaneuver enemies have noticed that there’s significantly less movement in the sequel.

Arguably one of the biggest gripes is the TTK which is much lower than the original, giving players far less time to react in a fight. Nadeshot clearly thinks that reducing the headshot multiplier would make Warzone 2 feel more forgiving.

The next major update on the schedule is Warzone 2 Season 2 in February, but it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see all of these changes implemented in one go.

If the reports that the player count is struggling are true, we’ll have to wait and see how the developers try to get things back on track going forward.
