Warzone 2’s faster TTK has been a major talking point ever since the game launched in 2022, and popular YouTuber FaZe Jev has outlined a way to solve the issue.

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the skill gap in Warzone 2 ever since the sequel arrived last November, with many big-name streamers feeling that the faster TTK caters to casual players.

The devs took some steps towards fixing this in the Warzone 2 Season 2 update by ensuring that all players start with three-plate vests. However, it’s been argued that a simple health increase won’t solve the TTK problem and players still feel like it’s too fast at close range.

Now, popular CoD YouTuber FaZe Jev has revealed a change that could put an end to the skill gap discussion in Warzone 2.

In a recent upload to his channel, Jev was reacting to the news that Solos would finally be coming to Ashika Island, which got him onto the topic of how the amount of health affects different modes.

“It’s more effective in a team environment to stack on top of each other the more HP you have,” Jev explained. “But in a solo mode, more HP is better because you’re more likely to have a one-on-one fight.”

He argued that in a solo gunfight, a higher TTK “usually results in rewarding the person that is more accurate and more consistent” with the kill.

With this in mind, FaZe Jev called for the devs to change the amount of health a player has depending on the mode they are in.

“I feel like this game should have a separate HP pool for Solos vs larger game modes, maybe Solos and Duos,” he explained. “That’s just my thought process. They even have to do that or find a medium between the two.”

Although Jev wanted to see extra health in Solos mode, he added that he thinks killing faster does make Squads a more enjoyable experience because you’re able to “outplay and kill multiple people.”

Warzone 2 Season 2 addressed many of the issues that the community had with the game, showing that the devs are open to making drastic gameplay changes. However, Jev wasn’t optimistic, admitting they “probably ain’t gonna mess with that.”

Only time will tell if they decide to alter the TTK in different modes, but with Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded on the horizon, that could be the ideal time to try and solve the skill gap concerns.
