Following the base health increase in Warzone 2 Season 4, CoD guru JGOD has revealed which weapons could thrive with the slower TTK.

The Warzone 2 Season 4 was one of the biggest updates to hit the battle royale to date, bringing the new Vondel Resurgence map alongside weapons like the Tempus Razorback and ISO 45 SMG.

Arguably the most drastic change introduced in the update was an increase in base health for all players, up to 150 from 100. This means fully-plated players have a total health of 300, with the intention of slowing down the TTK to make the game feel more forgiving.

Following the major change, Warzone 2 expert JGOD has named the weapons that he expects to dominate the meta in Season 4.

In his June 14 video, the JGOD explained that the slower TTK means that Season 4 seems to be favoring a “LMG-style slower meta,” and that Assault Rifles are struggling to compete. The first gun he highlighted was the RAAL MG, which has the “fastest TTK” at long-range following the update along with the highest average damage per mag.

He went on to pick out the HCR 56, which is now able to outgun the Cronen Squall with a time-to-kill of just 768ms, compared to the Battle Rifle’s 828ms. JGOD claimed the underrated LMG has what it takes to be a “frontrunner” this season.

Rounding out JGOD’s meta picks was the Cronen Squall, which still has a “nuts” damage per mag despite another nerf in Warzone 2 Season 4. However, he doubted that it will remain the number one option as the previously mentioned LMGs have the upper hand in terms of TTK.

When it comes to the close-range meta, the YouTuber felt that very little has changed following the health change. Both the Lachmann Sub and Vaznev-9K remain top options, with TTKS of 600ms and 616ms respectively.

Meanwhile, while the buffed Fennec 45 can kill just as fast as its competitors, he mentioned that its low damage per mag will be an even “bigger issue” when dealing with enemies that have 300 health.

The devs are set to release even balancing changes ahead of the Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded, so don’t be surprised to see the meta change once again. Players are also getting used to the new weapons introduced in the update, so only time will tell if they can challenge the meta picks.
