Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 bring the FJX Imperium Sniper Rifle to both titles, better known as the iconic Intervention from MW2 2009. Here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock this classic CoD weapon.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have a wide variety of weapons to choose from, many of which are inspired by classic guns from past entries in the series. The Lachmann Sub is an updated version of the MP5, while the TAQ-56 is the deadly Scar Assault Rifle.

One weapon that players have been desperate to see, however, is the Intervention Sniper Rifle, which became a fan favorite in the original MW2. Now, their wish is coming true as the Intervention is arriving in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 as the FJX Imperium.

Here’s how to unlock the FJX Imperium in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3.

The Intervention is free to unlock in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

The FJX Imperium Sniper Rifle will be available in Sector C4 of the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Battle Pass. It will be completely free, so simply grind the game and you’ll soon have it unlocked, but you can also upgrade to the BlackCell Battle Pass for tier skips and extra rewards.

The bolt-action Intervention Sniper Rifle is Call of Duty royalty after becoming an instant favorite when the original Modern Warfare 2 launched in 2009. It quickly made a name for itself as the go-to quickscoping weapon and starred in many montage videos on YouTube.

It hasn’t been seen in a new CoD multiplayer since 2016’s Infinite Warfare, where it appeared as the TF-141.

While it doesn’t make the exact same sound as it originally did, an upcoming Store Bundle will bring back classic 2009 audio.

Only time will tell if the FJX Imperium takes over Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 when it arrives, as players have already expressed concerns that it won’t be as viable in battle royale matches.
