Warzone 2 players beg for another nerf to most-used AR in Season 3 Reloaded

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded is set to bring a ton of weapon balancing changes, and there’s one popular Assault Rifle in particular that players are desperate to see nerfed in the update.
Each new Warzone 2 update marks a drastic shift in the meta, as new weapons are thrown into the mix alongside plenty of buffs and nerfs to the existing lineup of guns. Season 3 was no exception, as the new Intervention and Cronen Squall arrived while a number of SMGs caught nerfs.
We already know that Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded will bring two fresh Handguns to use in the form of the FTAC Siege and GS Magna, and plenty of other guns will no doubt be on the receiving end of some balancing changes.
With Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded set to drop on May 10, players have begged the devs to nerf the game’s most popular Assault Rifle.
Reddit user ‘GroundbreakingKey’ called for the ISO Hemlock to be nerfed once again in the mid-season update, as they posted: “It’s been like 6, 7 weeks can we please move on and find a different gun to use?”
Despite having all of its ranges and torso shot damage reduced in Season 3, the ISO Hemlock is still the most used Assault Rifle in Warzone 2 with a pick rate of 15.3% according to WZ Ranked. This places it over 10% higher than the Kastov 762 in second place.
In the comments, plenty of other players agreed with the OP, calling for a change to the “stale meta” in the mid-season update.
“Why does there always have to be one or two weapons that everyone is somewhat forced to use?” asked one player. “So many gun options and here we are stuck using ‘metas’.. just stupid.”
Other replies pointed out that the reason the ISO Hemlock is dominating so many matches is that players don’t want to be at a disadvantage by not running the meta weapons.
“It’s not that we don’t want to move on, it’s IW’s fault to have most ARs either shoot marshmallows at long range or make the visual recoil so high that it’s not practical to use it at long range,” argued ‘zhubaohi.’
Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded will almost definitely introduce a number of changes that will shake up the meta, but only time will tell if the ISO Hemlock receives its second nerf in a row. With Warzone 2 Ranked Play also arriving, players will be hoping that it isn’t too dominant after the update.
