Call of Duty unveiled its celebrity collaborations for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone’s Season 5, featuring popular rappers Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj. However, the CoD community’s reaction has been quite split over the new arrivals.

With the arrival of Season 5 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, a lot of content has been revealed, including the Vondel Nuke contract, a brand-new event, and new weapons, such as the FR Avancer Assault Rifle and the Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle.

However, the spotlight went to upcoming Call of Duty collaborations in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, with popular rappers Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage set to arrive as in-game Operators.

After the controversial Izzy Operator launch, and the recent split over cat Operator skins, a new division appeared due to the major hip-hop figures.

Nicki Minaj‘s Operator features her signature vibrant colors that will undoubtedly turn heads on the battlefield. Just as eye-catching as the pink color of her hair and Assault Rifle, some reactions have wasted no time in praising the reveal, “I just found my new main operator let’s go,” one user said.

Other responses included users showing their support for Nicki’s arrival, “I’m playing MW2 I’m gonna Buy it For sure Nicki Minaj X Call of Duty,” another user commented.

Some fans even referenced Nicki’s previous collaboration with Call of Duty, particularly her phrase from Modern Warfare 2’s Squad Up trailer: “Pull Up With The Barbz Superheroes No Capes.”

While Snoop Dogg’s appearance in Call of Duty is sure to bring some fun moments, players were not as excited about his return, given his Operator skin was previously available in Call of Duty Vanguard.

“Just paid money for him last year,” one user expressed. “Oh look, another duplicated skin that most of the cod community had already bought,” another user added.

Another user went on to add, “Why would I pay you for something I’ve already bought in another one of your games that you literally are making impossible to ever use again? Not falling for that again,” displaying their frustration not only with the shutting of Warzone Caldera but also with the reintroduction of Snoop Dogg as a “new Operator.”
