How many times have you hesitated when someone has asked what your KD ratio is on Apex Legends because you’re unsure whether yours is good or bad?

KD, or kill-to-death ratio, has always been a big part of measuring skill in multiplayer FPS games. However, due to the more recent obsession with battle royales, SBMM, and the increasing popularity of ranked modes, KDs have become more inconspicuous and really depend on what type of lobbies you’re playing in.

Whether it’s the guns you’re using, or the Legend, here at CharlieIntel, we don’t judge. However, we can show you what an average KD looks like in Apex Legends to ease your mind or make you work harder to achieve better.

What is the average KD in Apex Legends?

The general consensus is that any KD around the 1.0 mark is considered an average KD on Apex Legends. This means that for every death you have, you will have at least secured one kill.

If your KD is lower than 1.0 and looks more like 0.80 or lower, this would be considered below average as you are dying more than you are killing. To increase your KD back up more toward the average, you will need to start killing more people before you are eliminated.

What is a good KD in Apex Legends?

If your KD happens to be above 1.0 and looks more like 1.5 or higher, this would be considered an above-average or good KD in Apex Legends, as you will be killing more than one person before dying more often than not.
