Valorant receives a flurry of updates thanks to Riot’s consistent efforts to keep the game fresh, and maps are rotated out of the active pool every few Acts. Now, a popular leaker is claiming that Icebox may return with Valorant Episode 8.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 3 is approaching its last few days, with many in the community looking forward to what’s to come with Episode 8 Act 1 going live in the game. While the final Act of Episode 7 introduced the seventh Duelist, Iso, we also saw some significant balance changes, allowing Gekko and Cypher to enter the limelight.

Apart from mastering the Agents, a lot relies on your map knowledge when it comes to climbing the rank ladder. With 2024 right around the corner, and the festive cheer kicking in, a ton of fans have been requesting the devs to bring back Icebox in the game.

Now, leaks are surfacing, suggesting Icebox may return with the launch of Episode 8 in Valorant.

Popular and credible Valorant leaker ValorLeaks claimed that Icebox might return to the active map pool in Episode 8, and as a result, Haven will be removed from the game. Icebox was taken out of the active maps with the start of Episode 6 Act 3 on April 25, 2023.

Additionally, Haven is one of the only two three-site maps and has been a part of the game ever since its beta in early 2020. Aside from the arrival of the winter season, a number of players wanted devs to bring Icebox back into the game as they enjoyed playing it, and it was one of the most unique maps as well.

Popular Valorant streamer tarik was quick to react to this and stated, “About time m8.”

While a majority of the community seems to be ecstatic about Icebox’s return to Valorant, many players are disappointed with the removal of Haven.

Of course, when it comes to such leaks, we should take them with a grain of salt, and the leaker claims that this could change at any time.
