Auto Turret The Finals

A player has discovered an interesting and creative way to use the Auto Turret in The Finals, and this has sparked a discussion among the community: Is it a glitch, an exploit, or the way it is meant to be played?

Embark Studios’ heist cooperative shooter, The Finals, has players all around the world hooked with its action-packed gameplay. The game’s mechanics are somewhat unusual but fun, and unlike other online shooters, the whole scenario can be destroyed. This is what often makes players find new and unusual ways to improve their strategies.

A player has found a quirky way to use the Auto Turret from the Medium Setup ability roster, one of the most broken abilities in the game. It turns out that the Turret can be attached to any surface and object, as long as collision allows it.

This was posted by ‘SeeiRaptor’ on Reddit, and the community quickly embarked on a heated discussion about this strategy: should it be allowed to happen or is it just another exploit?

The OP posted this video in The Finals Reddit, along with the quote: “This is so much fun.” Soon, an army of offended players called out for this strategy: “I think you just crossed the line from an intended mechanic to an exploit.”

Another player also had this to say about SeeiRaptor’s portable turret strategy: “Even the announcers are calling him out. ‘Remember, that’s illegal in many jurisdictions.'”

Another of the alleged exploits in the game also belongs to the Medium Setup and involves using the Assault platform to make the Deposit Strongboxes constantly jump, effectively blocking other players from stealing the Cash-Out.

As one of The Finals fans suggested: “They’ll probably prevent turrets from being put on throwables in the future because of this and the super jump exploit. I imagine C4/mines will stay.”

In the case that Embark Studios corrects this mechanic and nerfs the Auto Turret misuse, we will let you know. In the meantime, you can check out the best build for Heavy Setup in The Finals or this guide with the Best Weapons available in the game.
